THE CARIBBEAN PEOPLE MASSES UNITY COMMITTEE ORGANIZATION:

“PLEASE SUPPORT CARIBBEAN UNITY; A ONE-CARIBBEAN NATION BY SIGNING OUR PETITION AND BECOMING A MEMBER”

The Caribbean People Masses Unity Committee (CPMUC) is created as an umbrella organization of organizations and individuals in Caribbean and Diasporas. We are a non-profit International Caribbean organization that is composed of Caribbean citizens both in the Caribbean and Diasporas (Caribbean Nationals). It was created represent the Caribbean Populist in support of Caribbean Federation- a united Caribbean Nation and a single-Federal Government which will response and contribute to the development of the Caribbean’s political, economic, cultural and social integration of the Dutch, French, Spanish, French and English speaking countries. To embark on these initiatives, CPMUC plans to facilitate and disseminate knowledge- based dialogues through international and domestic forum and media. Forums and media will be the vehicle used in realizing the mission, vision and objective of CPMUC. Our membership consists of Caribbean citizens and their families around the world.

It is our goal to facilitate the Caribbean as a united region and Diasporas at all levels of Caribbean society from organizations, security, governments to businesses.

The Caribbean Unity Foundation CUF [www.caribbeanunity.com] was established in 1994 and incorporated in 1998. The founder Mr. Kuwassi Hutchinson a citizen of St Vincent and the Grenadines; envisioned an organization where all Caribbean Communities would be brought together for the organization purpose of promoting economics and well being of its members. The organization mandate in Canada is to promote investment in small business by Caribbean Canadian business persons and entrepreneurs, with their native Caribbean counter parts; preferably in joint ventures to their mutual benefit and increased trade between CARICOM and Canada.

The goals and objectives of CUF is to bring about economic independence and created financial institutions that will be of benefits to the Caribbean people and the Caribbean. Investment in self, ownership and positive sustainable development can create jobs, to employ the people of the community.

The Caribbean People Masses Unity Committee CPMUC is an organization extension of the Caribbean Unity Foundation. CPMUC operates as a semi- autonomous organization within CUF that Lobby’s, undertake public forums, educate the public and promote and advocate all forms of Caribbean Unity on behalf of the Caribbean Unity Foundation and CPMUC respectively.
CPMUC was created in 2004 and registered in October 2004 by Founder Mr. Howard Foster, a Jamaican citizen whom believe the people of the Caribbean and Diasporas has push the governments of the Caribbean for political union of the Caribbean countries for the betterment of the individual Caribbean States, the people and the culture. CPMUC is an organization that is focused on building a coalition of organizations, businesses and individuals lobbying and promoting political Union of the (Federation) Caribbean countries and unity of the Caribbean people around the world from the Dutch, French, Spanish and English speaking countries. CPMUC is seeking support of the international community and the Caribbean and Black communities around the world to accomplish its mandate. We are focusing on a permanent partnership within Caricom where we as a non-governmental organization would represent the Caribbean and Diasporas and the African Diasporas by being “their voice” in Caricom and wider Caribbean region.

CPMUC name is explained in the following terms:

Caribbean: The region the organization represents and who the mandate is developed in benefit of.

People: Creating a mass movement of the people (individuals) who are the decision makers as citizens and electorates.

Masses: Creating a mass movement of individuals, businesses, political and non-governmental organizations and governments.

Unity Committee: Represents the management of CPMUC. CPMUC is managed, operated and coordinated by committee's through the Executive.

Mission

To be the single-voice for the Caribbean populist around the world; politically, socially, economically, educationally and on human rights related issues.

To gain a substantial amount of signatures and memberships in order to facilitate our vision of a one-Caribbean Nation.

To united the Caribbean society including pupil, businesses and organizations by being a one-stop centre for the Caribbean populist.

To provide a forum for Caribbean pupils around the world to contribute to ownership, development and foreign revenues by offering substantial discounts in services throughout all Caribbean countries to all CPMUC members.

Vision

CPMUC hopes to be the first successful organization since independence to seek the wider Caribbean populist to create a Caribbean Federation.

To create an atmosphere conducive to open political, social, economic and cultural dialogue in support of the creation of a political union of all Caribbean countries into a single-Caribbean Federation.

To become the main representative organization of the Caribbean Populist and head facilitators of all aspects of positive economic development ventures between Caribbean Nations and the global business community.

CPMUC OBJECTIVES:

United the Caribbean populist around the world by; Being the one-voice on behalf of the Caribbean populist around the world in areas of political education, economical development and opportunities, Human rights

Undertake all forms of public dialogue in the Caribbean Islands and Diasporas (Caribbean Nationals) in support of political, cultural, security and economic union of all Caribbean Islands for a one-Caribbean country. CPMUC will represent the Caribbean public at and will host Conferences on Caribbean Federation

Fight for the Caribbean Diasporas (Caribbean Nationals) to have rights to vote on a Caribbean Governments.

Educate and gain support of the Caribbean young people to illustrate the benefits of uniting the Caribbean region as one-Caribbean country in benefits of themselves and future generations. Educate the Caribbean populist around the world about Caribbean Federation

Gain Financial, Petition and Membership Support from the Caribbean populist across the world on behalf of the entire CPMUC organization that will allow it to carry out the political lobbying process for creation a Caribbean Federation by being the organization with the largest membership base representing the Caribbean Populist around the world

CPMUC will represent the Caribbean public at all Government Forums including; (a) creation of a constitution for a united Caribbean region (b) On a International basis at every capacity including Human Rights and promotion of Caribbean cultures

Gain the endorsement of all Caribbean political parties and Gain support of all Caribbean non-Governmental organizations in the Caribbean Islands and Diasporas for a referendum in support of a one-Caribbean country

Support Caribbean Organizations who are in support of uniting all the Caribbean Islands. Be the main umbrella body for all Caribbean community, social, Church’s and Non-Governmental organizations

To partner with a variety of NGO’s to engage in humanitarian and social development projects in the Caribbean and Diasporas

Strategies to moving forward

Public conferences in the Caribbean mainland and Diasporas.

To develop a strong base for funding.

To recruit qualified and specialized individuals to volunteer their time to our vision.

To form domestic and international networks and affiliations with organizations those ideologically and financially support our shared vision.

Use current structure of Caribbean political, economic and social weakness as a platform for improvement.

Establish the largest membership base of Caribbean mainland and Diasporas around the world.

Organization Registration Information

CPMUC registered information is found under Caribbean People Masses Unity Committee (CPMUC) in Toronto Canada.

Purpose for going directly to the Caribbean Populist:

There has been much discussion over the years about Caribbean unity, a union of all Caribbean countries. However, non-has been able to begin the process gain strong support because they have isolated themselves from the Caribbean populist. The ones who make the decisions but do not realize the power they have. These persons have relied on the Governments of the Caribbean to here their cries however many have passed on without being heard.

LANGUAGES:

As CPMUC develops it we will incorporate members and conference members of diverse Caribbean Languages. Immediately there will be Spanish, Dutch and French translator for each conference and staff members.

Time Period to carryout CPMUC

CPMUC vision is to be in operation and ready to hold its first conference in 4-6 months period effective October 2004. Therefore a lot of hard work must be done immediately.

OUTLINE GOALS OF CPMUC

Caribbean People Mass Unity Committee (CPMUC) is created to promote all areas of public dialogue in advocating Caribbean unity. The first goal of the CPMUC is to gain a substantial amount of signatures, membership and financial support. By showing the support of the Caribbean people this will illustrate to the Caribbean governments that the Caribbean public is in full support of a united Caribbean nation. This will then force the Caribbean government to have a referendum to create a federation of a one – Caribbean nation under CPMUC vision of a united Caribbean Region. The second gold is to create the largest Caribbean Humanitarian Agency whose primary focus is humanitarian service throughout the Caribbean and Latin America. CPMUC hopes to be the first organization to gain the support of the entire Caribbean populist in creating a Caribbean nation involving the Dutch, French, Spanish and English speaking Islands. CPMUC aims to be the Caribbean citizens representative at all levels or society for progress and against a lack of progress. Our programs and activities is focus on a united Caribbean body of citizens and family.

ADVISORY COMMITTEE (Steering Committee):

The Advisory Committee is of enormous importance to CPMUC. The Advisory Committee role is to help CPMUC accomplish its mandate effectively.

LOBBYIST COMMITTEE

This Committee will be responsible for dispatching representatives to carry out lobbying throughout the Caribbean region from the Dutch, French, Spanish to the English speaking Caribbean countries and Diasporas. This committee will also lobby International Community such as Canada, Africa and Asia to support creation of a One-Caribbean Country. This committee will also be a major part of every Conference.

The following committee’s programs are currently being developed:

CPMUC HUMANITARIAN COMMITTEE (A SPECIFIC DEPARTMENT)

This committee is the management arm of CPMUC Humanitarian Agency. Its responsibility is to carry out all the functions of creating, managing, plan, strategize and operated the Humanitarian Agency. An Executive Director will oversee the agency committee.

CPMUC INVESTMENTS COMMITTEE (A SPECIFIC DEPARTMENT)

The main functions of this committee are:

“Empowering the Caribbean to be the next economic power in the Western Hemisphere” This committee will undertake all Investment initiative on behalf of all CPMUC members such as: stocks, insurance, ownership, investments on behalf of our membership.

CARIBBEAN INDIGENOUS COMMITTEE

This committee is focused on uniting the Carib Indians, Rastafarian, Maroon and all other indigenous Communities across the Caribbean into partnership with each other for political, social, economical and cultural empowerment.

YOUNG PEOPLE COMMITTEE

CPMUC will have a youth arm of its organization and will be dedicated to getting membership and signatures from kinder garden, High Schools, Universities and Colleges to involve and be a voice for the Caribbean Community populous. CPMUC will involve the youths in the developmental process of a brighter Caribbean future.
